The doll is already at the hospital, we dropped her off Saturday, so it is too late for a note.

The doll was dropped off on Saturday...I would try to call again and ask to speak with the doll hospital staff.

I send you an email with a phone # which might help you get in touch with the hospital.

Did they call you because you had requested the head back? or did you call them to ask for it back? Not that it really matters, I was just curious. Were you actually talking to someone at the hospital? I have sent 4 dolls in and requested the heads back. Each time I held my breath until they returned home but each time the head was included. Whenever I have called and asked something I've been told no. Then I see other people here do it so I quite asking first and just sent a note with my request. For example I was told DD's Bitty with silver eye would have to get a new head but she returned to us with new eyes. I can see why they would say no because people could sell the heads or put them on other bodies and pass them off as AG but I also feel like if you are paying for it you should get to keep the old one and use it however yo want. I hope you get the results you want. Good Luck!

I called to ask for it back. I will call tommorow and try to talk to someone different to see about getting it back and hopefully I will get someone who can help me out. I am not sure if this person was from the actual hospital, but she said she had worked there nine years and been in the doll hospital and she did put me on hold to talk to a supervisor.??? But Hopefully I will have better luck tommorow. I will try to ask to talk to someone specifically in the doll hospital.

I can see where they might not want to return a head they are replacing for free, such as with silver eye. That way they are actually getting the silver-eyed heads out of circulation.
HOWEVER, If you send in a doll because of something else- stains, haircuts, whatever, and you PAY them for a new head, they should send your old head back if you want them too.Maybe they do not understand how much sentimental value these girls have to us.
I hope this works out for you.And yes, I have seen others post about it too.Good luck!

Well I called and spoke to Stacy this time and she said "Why would you want the old head back, I mean don't you think that would be tramatic for the child?"
I told her that it is my doll head and I am paying for a new one and I would just like to keep my head also and that I wouldn't let Cassie see.
She thinks this is a very bizzare request and is going to have a supervisor call me today or tommorow. By the way, she is in Customer Service and I was told that you cannot speak to anyone directly in the hospital.
I have a bad feeling I will not be getting Sam's head back !!!!!

That seems rather rude of Stacy to say. As others have posted, you paid for the original doll, with the original head, and you are paying for the new head, so there is no reason they shouldn't send the original head back to you. Good luck . I hope they decide to send the head back!
